I do not think that all men are the same. I get sick but do not complain or whine about it.

This is a standard practice in many of the Airports in India.I have also experienced the same. I cleared my customs at Mumbai Airport and then took a domestic flight to Kolkata.At Kolkata Airport the Central Excise which is also a wing of the Customs wanted to re check my baggage. I had to open my baggage again and they starting asking me for a bottle of perfume and other stuff. Somehow I manage to escape by just giving a box of liquor chocolates. That was a real cheap bribe.
